Assault weapons . . .
House Majority Leader Tom De Lay [R- Tex.] is not bringing the bill to continue the ban on assault weapons in America to the floor. If the bill doesn't get to the floor, Congress can't vote to renew it. This means, in September of 2004 the ban on assault weapons automatically ends. Yes, the Republican Party & the NRA continue their 'sweetheart' relationship.
