"Quickies - Vol. 67"

"The Passion of the Christ" . . .

I asked my friend Irving if he saw the movie.
He said, "No. I plan to Passover that flick." {:-)

Vice President, Dick Cheney says . . .

Bush counter-terrorism czar, Richard Clarke was "out of the loop." Hmmm? The President's top official on counter-terrorism "out of the loop"?  That's odd.

President Bush said he doesn't recall talking to his counter-terrorism czar, Richard Clarke on September 12th, 2001. Hmm? That was the day after 911. That's odd.

Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld argued for post-911 strikes against Iraq by saying "there aren't any good targets in Afghanistan." Hmmm?  Osama bin Laden was not in Iraq. That's odd.

The book:  "Against All Enemies: Inside America's War on Terror."
By Richard A Clarke.

Supreme Court Justice . . .

Antonin Scalia refused to remove himself from a case involving Vice President Cheney. Scalia said, "Dick and I have been friends for many, many years. What's wrong with that?" [:-)

Proudly they serve . . .

The handyman said, "I'm like Bill Gates, I do everything, including windows."  "That's nothing," his friend said. "I'm like Michelangelo, I do everything, including ceilings." {:-)

This just in . . .

Top Gun plans to visit France this June. So, French wines, French fries, French toast & French poodles are now back @ the White House.
However, things being how they are, Spanish wines, Spanish omelets, Spanish rice & Spanish bulls are no longer permitted @ 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, DC. [:-)

"Troubled" . . .

The United States vetoed a UN resolution condemning Israel's assassination of Hamas leader Ahmed Yassin. Top Gun was troubled by the killing but not that troubled.

My friend Sad Sam said . . .

"I'm on a bad roll. My wife, kids and the dog were outsourced to Manhattan. God how I miss that dog." [:-)

Just a thought . . .

During our visit we witness death too often and celebrate life too seldom.

Woody Allen . . .

"Life is full of misery, loneliness and suffering - and it's all over much to soon."  {:-)

Mark Twain . . .

"It takes a heap of sense to write good nonsense."

Hope you visit . . .
