"The Technicolor Dream Fish."
The sunlight pierces the
Translucent water.
Fragments move in unruly beams.
A rainbow trout jumps and
A cascade of diamonds
Falls into the waves.
"The One!"
Her song kissed my soul
Like a butterfly's wing
Across my lips,
Like an aria sung
On a languid Roman
Night in Spring.
Even though
I couldn't touch
Her, while
Her song was sung
And I was listening
At heaven's door.
"Now You See It!"
The lake bobs gently
In the shimmering air.
The waters flow
Diffidently.
In the miasma
The lake vanishes
Before I can
Take a sip.
"The Flower."
The butter yellow Rose,
So smooth a flower,
A silky sheen on its luminous petals,
Rocked gently in the morning breeze,
A tiny liquid diamond
Nestled quietly on a translucent petal.
Anyone, it seems,
Can drink from this fountain.

Editor's note : Israel not allowing ships to dock @ Gaza. How sad is that? Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas ; " What we care about is to live in co-existence with Israel in order to bring about the independent Palestinian state that will live side by side with Israel in peace and stability."

* From 2002 - 2007, the wealthiest 1% of US families hauled in 2/3 of America's total income gains.
* By 2007, the top 1% owned 34% of all American wealth.
* The entire bottom half of America's population owned only 2.5% of the nation's wealth.
* In 2007, the richest 400 American families had an average income of $345 million each. Their income-tax rate was slashed from an average of 29.4% to 16.6%
